About the calculator

DayZ damage and shock calculator

The calculator shows how many hits it takes to kill a DayZ player or knock them out: health, blood and shock damage for every weapon and round, with damage falloff over distance, per body zone (head, torso, arms, legs) and with armor — vests, plate carriers and helmets. It works from the game configs.

  • Firearms: shots to kill and to knock out, damage per body zone, damage at range
  • Melee: hits to kill and knock out for 61 items, from fists to axes
  • Armor: how vests, plate carriers and helmets cut damage and shock, and how much they take
  • Armor tab: pick your helmet, vest and clothes and see from what distance and in how many shots the most carried firearms knock you out or kill you, every time
  • Raid tab: how many rounds, grenades, plastic explosive and charges it takes to break a wall, gate, watchtower or part of a restored house (1.30), with in-game measurements; in YMG mode, the server mods’ buildings
  • Compare: several weapons with different rounds side by side
  • Series: blood and shock between shots — bleeding, shock recovery, losing and regaining consciousness
  • YMG Survivor mode: the weapons and balance of the YMG Survivor server
